It was in a box with most of the fuselage stuff, I think. It's covered with white vinyl on both sides so it looks like a strip of aluminum.

    Hi Ken,
I believe that 52948 was an aluminum strip that fit beneath the old aluminum turtledeck. The new part no: 11153 is thicker plastic to go under the preformed plastic turtledeck. Just be sure yours is the plastic one.

the manual says to tape the spacer to the angle. so i assumed the spacer was only temporary. but a few pages later the spacer appears to be permanent. i didn't read anywhere that it said to attach the spacer. does it get bonded to the angle?

    Hi Ken,
With the spacer taped in place, match drill it when drilling the wind shield and angle. Then it is held in place with the hardware (no need to bond it). It fills the gap and acts as a stop where the turtle deck slides under the windshield.
