    Fastfred,

The wing heavy deal is not uncommon on kitfox builds - has to do with rigging the washout which is a small adjustment of the rod ends on the wing end of the lift strut.

We build 'em with the wings equal washout; however, a little torque factor from the engine results in a need for a minor adjustment to make 'em fly hands off with respect to roll.

That is what I figured but why did they leave it that way? That's my point an amateur builder might not know there was a problem much less how to fix it . As much as it would be fun to build I am not a candidate for a builder .

It’s addressed in the manual how to deal with issues like that. All part of the fun.

Update for anyone interested. It finally warmed up enough for me to put the plane back together and reweigh it. My weight redistribution moved my C of G 2" aft. I'm 10.86 with just me and 5 gallons or 9.35 empty.

Perfect. You can probably load it to gross with lots of baggage and not go too far aft. Well done.

Me, Natalie, full fuel, and 165lbs in the back would put us at 15.98" so I think we are in good shape. I'm looking forward to flying it this week and seeing how much it helps!

What's your empty weight? I'm just curious because I feel like mine is heavier than I anticipated, and you are very close to my configuration.
