That spot looks very much like the gravel bar on the Willamette River we took you to when you visited Portland, OR a few years ago.

Looks like you have that Kitfox wired Ross, Great to see footage of an Aussie Kitfox landing on a gravel bar!

Thanks for sharing Ross! Enjoyed the video. Glad we were able to help with the off airport obsession! All of our gravel bars are under water now. Enjoy that awesome weather.

Nice one Ross. You'll have to show me where that one is some time .... looks like a great spot for a quiet getaway ...

Hi All, We had a really good flyin at Mt Beauty about a week ago - despite the stormy weather we had 72 aircraft there. We held a STOL 'practice' session with 12 aircraft involved - Kitfox 4, Savannahs, Hornet Stol, Super Cubs, Aviat Huskey and Eurofox. One of the Savannah's achieved the shortest landing - 35meters! DA for the session was 3200ft and temp of about 29'c. Headwind component 8kts. The Kitfox put in a credible performance with take offs and landings at about 60-80meters. I didnt fly as I was running the event but dont think I could do better than 80 meters. A lot of fun and the crowd loved it. And next year Dave and Ben will have their lovely new KF7's there!!!
cheers
