Hello All, I am a new Kitfox owner and have been lurking around the website for a few months. Having a lot of fun with the Kitfox and have been picking up a lot of good info from this site. Took this picture of Alaska wild flowers in Knik River last night.
Welcome. It looks like a nice bird.

Great photo,
Welcome to a great group that share.
Did you build your bird?
No I did not build it. It is a Series 6 with a series 7 FWF. I have been flying a 46 Taylorcraft for many years but the transition to the Kitfox is going well.
A few shots of our recent trip to South Westland and Milford Sound, New Zealand
It is a rare occasion to get good weather on this side of the island, due to our weather patterns. The rainfall here exceeds the Amazon basin
This is the off season, so we were able to fly into Milford Airport. In peak season there is a constant stream of tourist flights and the cruise liners come right into the fiord.
We landed on some gravel bars and the infamous narrow Gorge River strip.
Thats spectacular Dusty!! How did you get there - over the top or did you go around the coast?? Beautiful area - we have not been tot he Milford sound but the Queenstown and Wanaka a few times skiing. That narrow strip looks tight! there woudn't have been much room left at the wing tips!
thanks for the posts - great wild country for flying a Kitfox.
cheers

Dusty,
I really appreciate these photos. I have been to New Zealand only once, and it remains one of my all-time favorite places. While there, we were limited to the Lyttleton - Christchurch area. I would love to visit again and see what you are seeing from the air.
Ross .We went over the top,it's not very high,7000ft will get through most of our passes. We are planning a circumnavigation of the South Island but the south west corner (puyseger point)hasn't given us a usable window as yet, there's still plenty of time for you to head over
Gorge river strip was one time thing for me as the wind was light for a change and we had some other aircraft there, the photo doesn't do justice to how rough the strip is,my passenger dropped his camera on the last part of the rollout
Lowell,it would be great to catch up if ever you get back this way,I will pm you later regarding the suspension.
That looks exciting! Beautiful country. Looks like fun, fun, fun.
