What's going on over there, Rooster? Not poking fun at the price on the starter but, a 700 weight steer alone here would cover it. Well, nearly. We were right @ $110/hundred.

Well, Ramos, I have just sold my steers on a Video Auction....

We Got R 33.80 per kilogramme for them. That's just on $ 2.53 per kilo.

At 7.5 Pounds for the starter, it comes in at R 3162.00 per Kilo ($ 233.82 Per Kilo)

I've been paid, so will take the plunge and buy the skyTec!!

Heck, Rooster, you beat us by nearly five cents on every pound. As depressing as the price has been the last two years, I still would not recommend looking at your aviation expenses on a per pound basis!

A brand new factory built Kitfox is in the neighborhood of $150.00/pound.

That looks like so much fun, Ross! I'm so glad you're using and enjoying your beautiful airplane as much as you seem to be... I really look forward to that too.

Sometimes you get to fly and enjoy golf the same day, and yesterday was one of those days.
Plan was for KitFox Jim and myself to fly our Foxes about 80 miles to a course that is next to an airport in South Central Alberta. Skies were nice on the trip south at 9 in the morning.

This is the view of the Bow River east of Calgary on the way south.

My Model IV sitting on the ramp waiting patiently while I go hit a little white ball. The electric prop has helped performance and it is cool to flip a switch and watch the RPM go down and the speed go up.

This is a view of one of the fairways on the course the Town is called Vulcan.
Mr Spock did not show up.

Brian the 195 Pilot, KitFoxJim, and myself.

We allow the 195 to fly with us because it is the original round cowl airplane.

    20170510_152629.jpg

Had a great day on the course and the winds were light all day. We ended up with 10mph or so on the nose both ways.
My route to and from Vulcan cuts through the Calgary airspace and so I am limited to 4800ft cieling. The ground is about 3400 at home so it leaves about 1000 ft AGL. It was a little bumpy in the prairie sky but nothing unmanageable. All in all a nice day.

Sorry about the Photo quality. The phone just does not work as well as my camera but it is quick and easy and probably keeps memories that I might not othewise have.

When I rebuilt the KitFox I added a Baggage compartment A La Arizona.
This is the way DF4 showed me to put more space in a KitFox
The clubs sit nicely into the compartment with the heads of the clubs going into the passenger seat.
I use the passenger seat belt to secure them.
The 195 took the fourth for our group. KitFox Jim fits his clubs in the same way.
