A beautiful Arizona winter’s day was yesterday. While the upper midwest braces for highs hovering in th 20 below range with strong winds that will make windchills into the 60 below neighborhood, my cohorts and I had to endure 72 degrees and very light breezes and severe sunshine. A great day for some scenic Arizona low level exploring. We also had the pleasure of guiding and flying with our newest pack member around our beautiful desert playground. Many may recognize his distinctive Carbon Cub. Welcome to Arizona Jason and Monica. Looking forward to many more fun flights and post flight debriefings.
I had the pleasure of flying all afternoon with one of our TeamKitfox.com members visiting from, or maybe more appropriately, escaping the chilly Iowa winter, for some Arizona warmth. Kevin, TeamKitfox call sign Farm Boy, and his wife stopped by for a week to visit. Pulling a fifth wheel camper left no room for his Kitfox so fearing he was already going through aviatis interuptous, I offered Kevin the right seat in the Vixen. A couple photos.

Most of my hours are in the practice area southwest of KCHD. That terrain brings back some memories! I can't quite place where you guys are though. A lot of AZ looks like that.
