Default Identify this on my Kitfox Mod IV

Ok....I'm building my 2nd Kitfox. This one is a 1200 Model IV and there are a few suttle changes from my Speedster. There is a about a 2" tube welded on the cabin side of the firewall and I have no idea what it could be for and I haven't found any reference to this. I'm including a picture of it and maybe someone can identify it for me.

I have the same thing on my 1200 project and have no idea of it's purpose.

Maybe the lower bushing for the steering wheel option?

That tube is where the throtle bellcrank assembly attaches.

As I understand it.....since I'm using a Rotax 912, then the throttle bell crank attachment won't be necessary. Thanks for solving the mystery!
