    Default Artex ELT-200 pinouts

    Help needed.

Looking for info on wiring the remote switch for an Artex ELT-200.

My ELT has a ROUND four pin connector with the pins in a square pattern. Not the phone jack. Not the 9 pin DIN jack.

If you have an Artex ELT-200 unit in your plane or a manual in possession I need the pinouts for the round plug to the switch.

Yes… I tried the obvious contact to Artex and their website. They no longer support the ELT-200 because it is a 121.5 -243.0 ELT even though it is perfectly legal to buy, sell, install, or transmit. All manuals and diagrams for the 121.5/243.0 beacons have been pulled from their website.

I also looked around my local airport. So far no luck but I’ve only looked at four airplanes. They all have ACR units. So I'm posting on the forums.

Nope... never got an answer. I put it on the back burner for now. I plan to get out the meter and figure it out myself. When I do I'll post it here. Give me a week or so.

    John, Robert,
This may not be of any help but thought I'd try.

    Kebo,

Thanks... just what I needed. That diagram shows the 4 pin connector.

I've been trying to wire a toggle to operate the ELT 200, not that I'm cheap or anything but my panel had room for an LED and mini locking toggle. I can get the LED to light when the ELT is ON but I can't get the toggle to switch the ELT ON.
    Thanks for any help here.

    Kangus,
Did you manage to get your remote ELT to work?

I have en ELT-200 but need the switch assembly for the panel and I'll make up a cable.

I have a complete manual for the Artex 200 install which includes the correct wiring drawing. Some the pictures above are incorrect. If anyone needs the manual please E-Mail to me at roxtonravine@yahoo.com
