    Default Thunder Engines

Was looking at Barnstormers yesterday and found this company.

    http://thunderaviationengines.com/

Anybody know anything about them or their engine. Just curious.

    Regards

Seems like a great concept; a engine that fits on the rotax 582 mount with more power and parts you can get at the auto shop (Ford).

The engine has been in the works for a long time under the Motavia name. They had a lot of business related issues, and made a lot of customers mad. This guy purchased the rights to the engine earlier this year and indicates that he is selling quite a few engines. The big problem is he can't seem to get any photos of them. If you ask a question he'll direct you to join the Yahoo!Group, but there is absolutly no info there. People have been asking him for photos & things since May and he has yet to provide a single one of the engine on a plane. (there is a video from Oshkosh or Sun-n-fun from a very long time ago, but nothing within the last few years).

Again, great concept, but in my opinion the current owner has already shot himself in the foot.
