    Default Rotec R2800 Tach

    Hello,
I am new to Team Kitfox and am currently building a Model 4 with a Rotec R2800 radial engine. I am installing the engine instruments provided by the Rotec factory and am having trouble calibrating the tachometer. Does anyone out there know what the dip switch settings should be or what have you done to calibrate the tach? I asked the factory and got no answer. Thanks Matt N419BM

Here's some info on these gauges, but I'm not sure which one is supplied. The second page shows some dip switch settings. Where are you connecting the tach to the ignition?

Thanks for the info. I have the tach attached to the negative side of the electric ignition. I'm going to have to guess on the dip switch setting cause of the odd number of cylinders and just fine tune with the back screw.
