Default Outside air temp effect on static rpm

If a 912 and prop combination is set up to run static rpm at 5200 when the OAT is 10 degrees C (50 F), roughly what will the static rise to (with untouched pitch settings on the prop) when temps reach 25 degrees C (80F) in a few months time?

    Just curious.

    Jonathan,

You are considering a 30 degree F temp change - honestly I don't think it will even register on the tach. Summer to winter here the temp varies 80-100 degrees F and I don't see any observable differences that matter.

    Sincerely,

I have the same experience as Dave, no meaningful change.

    Food for thought:

Winter, cold - Air is more dense therefore more power from the engine, but the dense air is more of a "bite" for the prop.

Summer, heat - Air is less dense and less power, but the thinner air is less of a "bite" for the prop.

Conclusion: I'd think the static (or what ever rpm at a given throttle setting) would be very similar...
