Engine ignition problem in cold weather

I have difficulties to initiate my 582 in cold weather.
I heard Iridium spark plugs will facilitate that ?
Any experience ?

I think the word 'initiate' might be confusing. Do you mean you are having problems getting your 582 to start in cold temps?

My only suggestions would be to make sure your battery is kicking out plenty of power for starter speed and then just try various throttle/primer/choke set-ups.

Have you operated the airplane in cold weather similar to what you are experiencing now? If you previously had no cold weather starting problems and you do now - think about what is different. 1) Is the starter system spinning the engine as fast as it should? - a weak starter or weak battery resulting in too slow a cranking speed could be an issue. 2) Is there anything different with the fuel you are using? 3) Is the enrichment system working properly? Does the choke close properly or does the primer work properly? 4 ) do you preheat the engine in cold weather prior to starting? 5) Any induction system air leaks between the carburetor and engine?

For what it is worth - I have worked with a lot of different types of engines mostly in things other than airplanes - I have never seen iridium spark plugs or any "high tech" spark plug work any better than what the engine manufacturer recommends for spark plugs - I have seen cases where "fancy" plugs work much worse. Put the spark plug in that the engine manufacturer recommends.

OK for spark plug if think it's marketing

For my problems it was a winter problem since i bought it (2nd hand).

A french specialist ask me to check the fuel level in fuel container in low part of carbs (don't know english word).

Will see.

No i found the failure, hard to explain with my bad english.
When i opened my carbs i saw that my fuel level was too low so each time, i almost initiate the engine with only one carb cause the other is too low.
I put new "forks" (french traduction) , this device stop the feed of fuel in the carb when the floats goes up. and this "fork" apply on a needle with a spring which one was hard to compress i changed it too.
Since that, seems to have a new engine for me 5 revolutions of propeller and it goes
