    Default Nice PNW weather yesterday

Took advantage of the cold but beautiful PNW weather yesterday. Just went out for a couple of hours flying around the Cascades. Surprisingly, I got some really great photos of the mountains. Was a really nice day!

    Mt Rainier

    Mt St Helens

    Mt Adams

Olympics ( Long way away )

    Brrrrrrr - 10,000 ft

Not too bad - no wind 104 MPH at 10,000 ft

Scott, I gotta say...your pictures win those are some very cool shots in both sences of the word. Would love to get up around your parts and fly over Mt St Hellens. These are the kind of shots that truely inspire the builders to keep on keepin on. Thanks!

Scott thanks for sharing the pics. They really make us flatlanders jealous.

    Scott,
Great photos. Thanks for sharing them. Makes me think of when I lived in Renton.

not as good of a day for flying the hills as scott had but had to try . just completed installing the left wing after replacing the gas tank and a freshly tapered tip warpdrive . a little bumpy but at least i know we can both still fly

Good job Chuck! Glad to see you back in the air. Too bad we won't have any good flying weather until ohhh, July or so.

Did you notice any difference with your shaved prop?

scott , with the wind and bouncing , it wasnt a good for test flying . it appears to be 5-7 mph faster but im burning 4.5 gph . i had the prop adjusted for 5100 rpm static . ill have to play with it some more in better weather but for now shes flying and besides i can carry so much more gas now .
