    Question elevator fitting plates question

    Guys,
My elevator fitting plates are ready to be mounted. However, the little welded-on plates that could hold the fasteners have a total different angle than the plate itself!
    See pic.
How did you guys cope? Modifying the welded-on's with hammer and wood, did you? Or am I mistaken and is the plate supposed to lean inwards (see pic)?? The manual isn't very clear on this one...

Any reaction will be highly appriciated

I gently bent mine with a pair of pliers with tape applied to jaws to protect the powder coat.
