    Default New engine installation Gravity center

    Hi

    I'll plan to install a new injection engine on my KF2 and would like to know if it will be ok. Most of all i must know if the position of the gravity center position will keep ok for my aircraft.

    I put some datas on a file perhaps John can answer ?

    Is weight is 185 pounds

    Gandon,

    Sorry, I didn’t answer your post earlier. I rarely look in the engines section. Most of the posts are about the Rotax and do not apply to my aircraft.

    The engine you propose to put on a KFII is quite a bit heavier than the standard Rotax 503 or 582. At 84 Kilos it is close to the weight of a Rotax 912.


    If you like, contact me off list with the weight of the engine you are removing and a copy of your current weight and balance document. I will be happy to give you a prediction of the new center of gravity.
