I think that's a compliment to the Kitfox because the Monocoupe has about the nicest lines of all the classic light planes. Maybe one of you "ace" builders will build a Kitfox with round wingtips and rounded tail and maybe fared over gear legs. The cowling looks good. Up till now no one has come up with one that looks right. The new Luscomb has tried the Rotec radial but the cowling doesn't look right. Too square. James Thomas
    HMMMMM.... Monocoupe.. How about Mullicoupe

    Thumbs up Re: Kitfox Update

    John,

What a great analogy. Just having read a very short story of the Mullicoupe, I see some great similarities.

First...Some guys sitting around a fly-in, discussing the desire to build a beautiful and functional plane.

Second...Designing a great Cross Country LSA with a quick, agile backcountry puddle (& Sandbar, & Hill Side, & Riverbed, ...& etc) jumper.

Third...Having the knowledge & resources (people with experience) to get it into production and make something affordable for all to enjoy the pleasure of flying.

That Radial looks great! With or W/O the cowling/pants, doesn't matter. Looking forward to watching this beauty and seeing what's to come!

John, Can you tell us what the empty weight and useful weight is on the new demo? Did the Rotec require a lot of changes for weight and balance? What about the main gear, did it save weight? From the pics it looks like you use both front and rear gear mounts-correct?

    Thanks,
