    Default Control stick buttons.

My build has an Auto pilot, an G3x etc.
On the control stick what are people putting on it. It seems you have just about everything at your fingertips.

Lyndon, it really boils down to your own preferences. The G3x makes it easy to configure.

In my case, the control stick is a military style with eight functions. Four are used.
    1. Comm sw.
    2. Flip/flop freq. changer.
    3. Pitch trim via the hat sw.
    4. a/p disconnect.

Refer to my build for more details.

I agree its a personal choice, but most builds that I personally have seen only put two switches on the control stick:

    -Comm push-to-talk
    -Pitch trim

I'm using https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...?clickkey=4461. The 4 buttons will be Trim up/down, Radio Frequency Swap and AP Disconnect.
In order to control trim with the Ray-Allen grips you'll need these items:

    https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...ckkey=12175857 - Ray-Allen servo deck
https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...ickkey=7640509 - TCW Safety Trim Booster

I did not figure out how to use both the KF-supplied trim switch AND the buttons on the stick grip so I'm not going to install the KF-supplied switch.

I've got the 5 button Ray Allen style and have the trim and ptt on the stick. It's ok, but I'm moving the trim to a dedicated switch in the standard location down by the flaps. In my case the ptt button is on the front side of the stick and not on the top like most. I've accidentally grabbed the tx button when I didn't want to. Now it'll just have the single ptt button on the top.

Others are right, it's 100% personal preference.

Bike grip with ptt only. Like it clean and simple.

I'm with Dustin on this one , keep it simple. If you have to think a few seconds every time you use one of the 4 or 5 buttons on your stick , thats not a good design. Bruce N199CL

I'm with Bruce and Dustin. Single PTT on the end of the stick.

I learned my avionics in a military aircraft, a control stick with a half dozen buttons was the norm.
Learning which button to mash and when was just a part of the plane.

Not necessary for my little Kitfox ... Just a cycle grip and a radio PTT for me ...
