Kitfox Factory Wire Harness Temperature probe

Hello, I am installing the Kitfox Factory panel/wire harness and the outside temperature prove has two wire terminals/grounds coming off of the probe but there is no mention of these or where they should be attached to the airframe in the provided instructions. Has anyone else seen this or knows the answer? Thank you in advance!

You can mount it pretty much anywhere but make sure it is away from the engine exhaust stream. Mine is mounted under the right seat, behind the gear strut.

I installed the probe itself along the rear of the vertical stabilizer, I was more asking about the wire running out of the probe with the two terminal ends. The manual does not say where those are to be attached, I am assuming that they are grounds but the area that Kitfox has the probe placed does not have any obvious attachment points for them. Is your mounting location above or below the horizontal stab? If above, you should consider a different location. Since this is a simple resistive probe and not a self-heated total air temperature probe, it should not be mounted where it can be reached by direct sunlight. Solar radiation is readily absorbed by the steel probe, which can't be calibrated out in software since it's not predictable. Good shaded locations are under the fuselage (avoiding the exhaust stream, which is difficult due to propeller effects) or on a lower wing surface.
