Default Rudder and elevator dimensions for control locks

I am picking up and trailering home my new (to me) Kitfox II
I know I will need surface locks for the elevator and rudder
Can someone tell me how long they need to be and how thick the surfaces are?
I want to build them and bring them with me (instead of building them on site.

I cut 2 pool noodles at 32inches and rigged up a way to bolt two aluminum tubes together, putting a plastic sleeve over the bolts in case they end up rubbing on the horizontals. Trailered the model 3 tail forward, and there was a bit of movement of the elevator, surprising how tight it would have to be.

the rudder should be a non-issue, with the wings folded and some padding between the flaperons and the vertical stab, there will be no movement. you should have solid rods to connect the wing to the front of the slot for the horizontal stab, the tabs to connect it are done by the factory. do you have support tubes for the leading edge of the wings?

    have a safe trip
