Default Getting a Kitfox to france

    Hi guys,

As a french flyer I'm very interested to get a Kitfox factory built to France. I hope I could find someone that could help me. France doesn't have the experimental market nor LSA. We have ultra lights < 500 kgs and amateur builts. Amateur builts as built in France. Then we have a list of approved center for non certified assemblage, list where I can't find kitfox.

I've seen some guys having kitfox as ultralight but cannot see one with a 7. Having the 7 Sti to go in the Alps would be great!

Does anyone have an idea if it's possible to get a new factory built kitfox 7 registered as a plane in France?

    Thanks, enjoy your flights !

    thank you.. so much!

my understanding is the the kitfox 7 could not be an ultralight in france (max 500kg and 80kwh)
and might be an amateur built considered:
-kitfox become an autorised kit provider for french caa (dgac)
-51% of the building is done by me

if correct that would mean I can unfortunately forget the factory built version and that yes.. france is complicated administratively

Sounds like you should look for a series IV 1050 (not 1200). 1050 gross weight is 469 kgs. I'm not clear from your post if you still have a 51% rule in France.
