Default STI Wing/GA Prop vs. SS Wing/CS Prop

STI Wing with a Ground Adjustable Prop
    or
Supersport Wing with a Constant Speed Prop?

Which would you choose and why? Obviously everyone's 'mission' will be a bit different, but I thought it would be a fun discussion topic. Pretty sure this has been talked about here and there in other threads, but not directly.

Ditto For me. Lots of options. Does everything well but the real kicker for me is the respectable short field capability and a nice cruise for cross country.
My mission is airport/hayfield visiting as well as sightseeing around the Ozarks. Maybe more challenging stuff as my skills get better.

    ss & ground adjustable here

ground roll attainable under 300 feet

    Respectable cruise

ground adjustable is more affordable and minimal maintenance

But, others have different missions which is what choices are all about

SS and ground adjustable for me too.
If I could afford it, and wasn't a Sport Pilot, and wanted to deal with the extra complexity/maintenance, I would go for SS with constant speed. I personally feel that is the perfect combo of backcountry, cruise and short field performance.

Mine will have the SS wings (Series 5 kit) and a hydraulic CS prop (Duc Helices FLASHBLACK-M) on a 912iS. My reasons are exactly as @jiott mentioned above: I wanted the most performance I could get in a variety of situations from a reasonably affordable engine/prop combination. This seemed like the best compromise without dropping 50 grand firewall forward. We'll see how it works out...

Pretty overwhelming support for the SS wing, I'm actually a bit surprised, but I guess it is more of an all-around setup.

I'll be the outlier. STi and ground adjustable. Can't speak to how it flies yet though as it's still a few months from completion.

I wouldn't take the results in this thread as an endorsement of one wing over the other. The STi wing is a relatively recent development in the life of the Kitfox line, so there are a lot more of the standard wing out there flying.
