    Question Brace to carburetor

    Hi,
On my Series 5, there is a brace from the engine mount to one of the studs between the carburetor and the air box. The brace is connected below the flange of the air box which prevents the air box from being removed. I can’t figure why this brace is needed. Does anyone have a similar situation?
    Thanks,
    Rolfer

I was thinking Rotax with the Rotax airbox.

List members familiar with the Lycoming might be able help.
