Do you have part numbers? I might have a set which is surplus to my needs.

I believe Kitfox ships the Lord J-3608-1, with their in-house part number 90048.000. That's what was on the packing list for my 912iS firewall forward kit.

Then yes, I'm all but positive I have an unused set.

That might prove very useful. thanks.
However, one of my contacts in the UK reckons it is not this Lord Mount.
He says that he is 99% convinced that every Kitfox 3-5 with the original Kitfox 912/912S installation uses the "damping donuts" from the Kitfox parts catalogue (Replacement Isolator Kit, Part# 64804) even though this is marked for Models 3 & 4 in the catalogue!
Any comments?
You're going to need someone smarter than me (I suggest Brandon) to sort that out. I think Eric and I are both picturing the mount you would get now if you ordered one for a ULS to fit a series 5-7. I can tell you the mount for the 4 and 5 have a different hole pattern at the firewall but I don't have any clue what the Skystar people were thinking in the late 90s.

I have a Kitfox 5 motor mount that was modified to fit a Kitfox 4 firewall. It uses the black Lord mount as is shown in the link. I have several Kitfox 3 n 4 mounts that use the whitish tan colored mounts like is shown in the first post. I don't think they are interchangeable. The whitish tan ones I have are actually two large donuts, and two small ones that go inside the larger ones. Maybe if I remember, I can get a picture of those tan ones when I get back out to the shop. I'll also check to see if they actually are interchangeable. (if I can remember.....) JImChuk

This has the part numbers as well as the service bulletin.
I had a KF 4 and I just finished my KF 5. I did this service bulletin when I still had the 4. My 4 had the mounts that looked like what you show in your pic. They are totally different than the Lord mounts I used on my KF 5 Round cowling. I am not sure, but I think there were some KF 5's and maybe 6's with the smooth cowling that used the KF 4 style mounts so that might be the case in your situation. Either way, the attached PDF has the part numbers.
One thing I bet they were definitely thinking about is ... now with a bigger & longer fuselage we can extend the mount further away from the firewall for balance considerations and have better access & clearance in the engine compartment !! OK... that's just a hunch on my part.

I forgot to get pictures of my mounts when I went back to the shop, but the pics are now up in the links. The Kitfox 5 remodeled mount I have does stick the engine a good bit forward compared to the Kitfox 4 mount. 4" I think. As I remember, the face of the prop flange is 29 1/2" from the firewall with the 5 mount, and 25 1/2" with the Kitfox 4 mount. JImChuk
