Finish Tapes

I have the LLE and I am thinking of a 6” tape for the leading edge, Kitfox sells the tapes they are the light variety so I guess that is what they use, the tapes also come in medium which is the same weight as the fabric. Has anyone any thoughts on which one to use.

Typically people use light tapes because they are easier to lay down smooth. I used pretty much medium tape because you can get it preshrunk. I ended up with very straight tape lines but it is more difficult to get the tapes to lay flat.
