I’m having trouble getting the fiberglass tube into the main spar. Any suggestions? Can I cut a slit on the wingtip fiberglass tube to make it easier to slide in?

I don't know about splitting the tube but i had to do a lot of sanding with emery cloth to get mine to fit.

I am facing exactly the same problem now, I sanded a heck of the fiberglass tube on wingtips and now it fits with no problem. Now, the wall of the fiberglass tube became quite thin, so I decided to enforce it from inside with the fiberglass tape and epoxy raisin. That should give me a piece of mind that the structure is good enough.
This is just mine solution. maybe overkill, but make me feel better
Good luck

I'd say that was a good thing to do Robert.

Now I’m having another issue with the wingtips… when I install them everything fits great but I notice the trailing edge kinda droops down toward the end. Is that normal?
