The flaperon horn shims are a good fit over the flaperon horn tubes with only a small amount of powder coating having to be removed, when slid into the flaperon spar the fit on one is very nice but the other is loose allowing the horn to move fore and aft and up and down. I think the shims are made from 7/8 x 0.058 6061 t6 which is machined down to fit inside the aluminium flaperon spars and one of mine has been machined to much. My question is what have others done if they have had this loose fit or am I the only one, just fit them as when the seven rivets are installed the movement will stop, get replacements from Kitfox or install with a small amount of Hysol when assembling?
