    Default B&C S700-Series Toggle Switches

A recent conversation (beginning here) in AlexM's build thread led me update and post my cross-reference sheet for the S700-series switches sold by B&C Specialty Products. It shows the B&C switch catalog, cross-referenced with the OEM Carling part numbers, as well as part numbers at several alternative distributors in case B&C is out of stock. It also includes a number of switch mounting accessories like washers and nuts. Finally, it explains the function of two special switches that are commonly misunderstood and consequently overlooked.

Note that this sheet differs from the B&C catalog on several part numbers, where B&C has chosen to list double-throw switches with no center toggle position as single-throw parts. In my view this obscures the true function of the switches, as well as the number of connection terminals they have. This document lists their electrical and mechanical properties correctly, and the differences are explained in the notes.

Let me know if there are any questions.

Thank you. I just lightened my wallet with my first B&C order, including a copy of Bob's book.
