Default What Is Model 3 Firewall Material?

Hi all, I am rebuilding a Model 3 and need to replace the firewall. Current one is aluminum and tech counselor is suggesting stainless steel. Are current fw's aluminum or sst?

    Thank you,
    Steve

The one I just got from Kitfox is stainless steel (looks like 304), 0.018" thick.

You can also use galvanized steel. Easy to get at home improvement stores or from HVAC contractors.

You will find SS or galvanized steel on certified planes, aluminum is not acceptable because it needs to be a fire barrier.
