    Default Wanted! Grove Axles

Anybody have 3/4 axles Grove Axles taking up precious space in their parts bin they'd like to turn into cash?
I have Douglas wheels and Matco brakes and need the axles to mate up to the Grove gear.

    cheers

Couldn't you just have some 3/4 axles made by adding thread to the end and drilling for a pin? Obviously use the correct steel and just farm it out to a machine shop for thread/drilling. Shouldn't cost much. I have future plans of adding skis and planned on making extended axles in this same manner.

I ended up having to get a set made. Couldn't find a set anywhere.

Entertainingly enough, today I was offered the use of a set of penetration skis and now need to get my axles machined. Projects, projects, projects...

    Thanks for the reply Wurly.

Yeah machining is a thought but my guess, by the time a shop sets up for it I'd be into it for $200. I might as well just buy them directly from Grove in that case:
    Grove 5011 Axle (groveaircraft.com)

I'm still holding out for a lightly used pair.

Grove doesn't carry them anymore, nor the Kitfox factory, Hence me having to get a set made.

Whoa.....no kidding. So much for gratuitous assumptions. Well, that settle that then. If I intend on putting these matco brakes and douglass wheel in flight, I'm going to have to build too its looking like.

I could Machine these for y’all if I had a sample or drawing. But time is hard to come by these days so I couldn’t get to it very quickly. You could get the plates laser cut a sendcutsend.
