Default LSA, LPA, MOSAIC and the future from by Dan Johnson

I just watched this video on YouTube:

Dan Johnson updates the work being done on these standards. I won't try to repeat or synopsize what he says, but it is worth the time to find out what is in the works and an estimated time line.

Reading the “Power Index”, 1.2 opens up a lot of weight and horsepower as losing as you have sufficient wing area.

Looking at the formula, if you have a 150 sq. ft. wing, you can go to 180hp, if you have a cub sized wing area you will be looking at 200hp and that is the upper limit it seems.
