    Default Which tailwheel spring for S7 conversion?

    Looking to convert my S7 to tailwheel and wanted some feedback regarding which tailwheel spring I should get. Will mainly be flying intro grass strips, with the occasional off-airport landing on some rougher terrain.

    Was definitely thinking about the T3. Had one for my old Model IV, but was not able to put it on before the plane was sold. Would you say it’s worth the price increase over the other options offered from the factory?

    @CTFox,
    I run one on mine as do a few of my Fox buds. I'm a huge believer in "cry once, buy once". Will the others springs do the job? Sure! As for is it worth it? I say yes but ultimately, that is your call.

    I have the Grove aluminum tailwheel spring. Not cushy and soft, but very tough for rough landing conditions.

    I love my T3. It absorbs the shock with controlled rebound - adjustable. Only weighs about 1.5 lbs. more than the standard 3-leaf steel spring assembly. Easier on the airframe also.

    What tailwheel are you running with the T3? I had called Airframes Alaska when I was thinking about putting one on my old model IV and they had said it will only fit some specific ones.

    Had a T3 for awhile, going to try out the TK1 Racing on the 7.
    Keeping the baby bush of course.

    T3 is great! World of difference from stock spring, love it. Paired with dual fork 8” matco.
