    Default air filter abrasion

Have Kitfox SS7 with Rotax 912 ULS. The air filter on pilot side on Bing Carb. is up against the coolant hose from the coolant expansion tank which is up against the engine mount. Am getting abrasion on coolant hose from the wire mesh on air filter not having enough clearance. Hopefully all of you have been checking your coolant hose for abrasion. Had to change mine once so far. K&N has a model with 20deg offset but seems to be discontinued.
Anybody with a brilliant idea, other than the air box, please post. Jeff in North Idaho

Nylon expandable braided sleeving? I don't know what the OD of your hose is, but the largest size will expand up to 1-1/2".

To avoid that problem, I routed my coolant hose from the expansion tank UNDER the top part of the engine ring mount, instead of over the top of it. That way the hose is well clear of the air filter.

Good idea. Do you remember what # hose you used? assume it was a NAPA hose. JeffB

Yes, it was the preformed NAPA hose.
