Default wheel pants weight and arm for SS7 tricycle info needed

    Hello,

I have recently installed wheel pants on my SS7 in trike configuration.

I was wondering if anyone may have th weight and arm info so I can do a weight and balance amendment?

    Thanks
    Dave

    Dave,

Did you weigh the wheel pants before installation? To determine the arm, level the aircraft, drop a plum bob at the datum (leading edge of wing at root) and at the center of mass for the wheel pants (each location) measure distance between the the two plum bobs and that is the arm. From there is is a math exercise.

I have a Kitfox series 6 with Kitfox supplied wheel pants on a tricycle config and my weights and arms are as follows:

    Nose pant wt = 3.0 lbs, arm = -32.56
Main pant wt = 7.5 lbs each, arm = 26.38

I'd use these numbers as a reference only because you'd be better off to weigh yours and measure the arms on your bird. There may be some differences between planes.
