Has anyone done this? Weight isn't the problem, size may be. Engine is about 18" tall, 21" long, and 24" wide. Thinking about making a box that size to see how it would fit. JImChuk

I installed a 912 UL in the Classic IV that I built, with the round cowl.
I don't know if it will work in a 3.
Completed my Classic 4, May 2003. It had std wings. speedster tail.
912 UL Rotax. Sold to a person in Spain.
Completed a Skybolt December 2018
I already have a running 912 in the plane. I'm considering hauling another one in the passenger seat, rather then driving down in my car to get it. JImChuk
If I remember correctly, Hal Stockman hauled a 912 up to Jonas Marcinko in Idaho in his Rans S7 in one of Jonas's videos a year or so back.

I shipped one in a crate once standing up on it's ring mount. I wonder if you could do the same in the front seat?

I remember when I stored our 912 in the seat of our Model 4 for a few weeks when we were rebuilding the airplane. I don't think it would be a problem, but never hurts to try I guess. I also removed our passenger control stick so it would probably fit even better in there now.
