IO-240B Exhaust system notes, hopefully this helps somebody.

Hearing my least favorite sound again, which is 'clack clack clack' at idle, so spent the weekend
leak testing exhaust with the reversed shop vac/soapy water

Found my Flange gaskets leaking, so I went to double Rapco gasket (which they suggested) and
that seemed to fix the leaking Flange gaskets.

Next I found leaks at the slip joints, and after a bunch of messing around discovered two things
which are: The connector plates, over time they pull out of shape where the bolts go through. So
I corrected this with a rivet squeezer and used a bit thicker and wider washers. The other is that
the two grooves are not the same exact size so the orientation of the plates needs to be looked at
very closely to see that they fit well to the bevels in the pipes. If they are not oriented correctly they
may not seat very well.

After correcting the above I think I have mostly solved all my exhaust leaks.

Thanks to Phil Nelson for the ShopVac suggestion. I used 1 part dish detergent and 4 parts water in a spray
bottle which worked well, also makes a nice Palmolive smell when you fire it up later.
