Fuselage forward fabric attach point

Hello all, I’ve come to the point where I need to install the forward fabric attachment angle to the fuselage and I’m a little confused. Do I need to trim the lower door joggle to meet up with the forward attach angle? Is the idea to keep a consistent amount of “reveal” on the angle showing to end up being flush with the cowl?
