    Default KF 5 flaperon bearing

I noticed on the newer kits, the flaperon bearing that mounts to the fuselage is deleted. Anyone know what changed to allow this? Was anything "beefed up" or changed as far as the flaperon arm? Seems like there would be increased stress on the #1 rib flapperon hanger without this bearing in place.

I am leaning towards installing it but curious to know if it became a issue, hence the reason it was deleted.....

Yes, something got beefed up when the mode 5 was being made. I can't remember if it was when they went to 1550# GW or to different ailerons. The factory told me I didn't need the bearings on my built in 1999 model 5. I had them and didn't put them in.

I would give the factory a call send an email.

I originally had them on my Series 5. Pain in the butt when you had to fold wings. Factory came out with notice that not required so I cut them off.

I did not put them on either of my KF5s, both kits from 1994.
