Default Kitfox 4 door top door closeout.

Working hard on my Kitfox 4 project and had a question for the Kitfox 4 guys out there. Thinking ahead to covering and wondering what has been done as far as the closeout between the fuselage and the root rib attached to the fuselage. On top it gets the skylight but underneath is the question. This airplane had textured aluminum siding material pop riveted there when i got it and that ain't going back in. Below is a sketch of what I'm thinking of doing, but am interested in seeing what others have done. If another option is better I would like to do it now so if fabrication is needed I can work it out without covering on the fuselage for easier access.

I've always seen the fabric go under the top door frame tube. That's how I've always done it as well. JImChuk

On the 4, the top tube of the door opening goes above the level of the bottom capstrip of the rib. Thinking about it I guess that part of the window goes above the hinge line so would swing in anyway, so going under the tube with the fabric would work as well.

Thanks. Helps to bounce things off a sound board once in a while.

I’ve made aluminum wing root fairings to close it out. See pictures attached.
