    Default Model 2 undercarriage options

    Hi all

ive had a few KF’s over the years, and they’ve all been Mk3 ——> Mk5 series until now, and I’ve upgraded them all to Grove gear.

What options do I have for a Mk2 with undercarriage upgrades for rougher ground operations? Or is it best to leave as is?

I think the cabane style 'bush gear' is a nice addition. I have it on my Avid MK IV, and it's made the plane quite a bit easier to handle on the ground. It's also a good bit lighter and less expensive then the grove gear as well. There is a a guy on barnstormers fairly often who makes them for Kitfox and Avid. JImChuk

Would a model 2 even accommodate a Grove type gear?

So it was you that bought it!

Keep thinking about cabane type for mine and have part drawn a design, but it's the LAA mod process that is my stumbling block.

Hesitant to buy a set in from one off the stateside builders then have the LAA not approve them.

    Joint venture?
