When I converted my Model IV-1050 from bungee/Douglass ATV wheels/Matco brakes gear to Grove spring, wheels and brakes with 21x800-6 tires the net weight gain was 12#.

The Grove site lists the model 4 gear at 24.3 pounds and the series 5,6,7 gear is listed at 34.3 pounds. Not sure what a stock 5 gear weighs. I was under the assumption that the grove gear was pretty much the stock gear for the series 5 and up.

The 5 still had the tube gear but it is setup for the Grove gear.
