Congratulation Sir!!!
But I gotta ask........ How did the VHF antenna in the vertical stab work out? You had said it received well but hadn't heard anything else after.

Thanks all for the very favorable comments.
Geek - too early to give a review on the antenna. Lots of calls come in clear and strong; especially ATC. Sometimes other aircraft not so much. Question is: is it my antenna/radio or theirs or other radios/interference? More flights should give me the opportunity to come up with a better answer.
Phil - you are correct; it was two years and two months plus a few days thrown in just to be sure. The funny thing was, on day one I posted on the white board in the shop: "Question - when will it be done. Answer - Tuesday." Turns out it was done on Tuesday.
The number one electronic issue to address is the ADS-b. I'm pretty sure that was solved this afternoon - the next flight will be the test.

Darrell..... Congrats! Heather and I are incredibly happy for you!! I remember sitting across the table in your kitchen and hearing how frustrated you were with your previous project and I was eager to see how you were going to enjoy the Kitfox build. Your plane is gorgeous. Something you should be proud of. I know your attention to detail and I'm confident it will be something you will enjoy!
Brandon

Geek - the answer (drum roll please) is in - the antenna works great. Took my longest flight today and listened to traffic and discussions over 70 miles away (ground and air) when I was at 4500 agl. I pick up AWOS stations when heading straight for them (I was a concerned that the the metal framework in front of the antenna would blank out those weak stations but fear not).
Brandon - please tell the gang at KF the plane is a real pleasure to fly.
Now, if I can only get it a tad slower on the approach . . . . . . . . . .
18 hours in, only 22 to go, then I'm free!!!
