    Default Beringer Shock Wheel

Anybody heard anything about this system/Know of someone putting it on a Kitfox? Looks like a great way to add extra absorption into the grove gear without giving up too much in terms of aerodynamics.

One thing that is rather worrying though is that their pictures don't show any tailwheel aircraft and their "Available for" list doesn't specifically have an aircraft with a tailwheel as well. Wondering if it might have some weird tendencies like what Mike Patey talked about with the "Wilga walk."

This is another option. I thought that it turned out great.

I see weight creep. Pound or two here and there and you'll have a little piggy before you realize it.

The issue that some are trying to resolve with the Grove Aluminum gear is springbuck. The gear absorb the impact of imperfect landings. The problem is when trying to land very short if you drop it on the gear it will bounce you back in the air some. Adding monkey motion at the end of the gear will not the springbuck unless you dampen the gear itself, which defeats the design of this design... and adds weight. Cabana gear that use bungees or springs will also exhibit this trait. That is why Monster Shocks are used to dampen the springbuck effect.
