Default Check your bing carb floats!

I had three of four floats sink on my Rotax 582. The floats were just replaced in June of 2019.

with the price they want for them, I think they have some gold in them. And gold is a heavy metal.....JImChuk

PS floats didn't seem to be a problem years ago, did Bing change what they are made of, or is alcohol having any effect?

I believe it may be a production issue. I replaced mine on advice and had 2failures almost immediately,a second hand set of 582 floats were installed which did over 300 hours untill I replaced my engine. Now at just over 100 hrs they are at maximum allowable weight ! There are aftermarket ones available but I have no experience with these. Has anyone tried them?
