Yes sir - sort of. It will function as a true backup for about an hour if I secure everything but the bare-bones need-to-fly stuff. My primary goal was to be able to get the EFIS, EIS and the radio up and running before starting the engine and not make any of them suffer from power surges or the drop in voltage during start up. I isolated the Powersonic from the main battery with a Schottky diode so it (in theory anyway) doesn't participate in the start up.

I didn’t do any scientific testing, Bryan Bowen and Alex DiSessa did enough of that. I can confirm my numbers agree with theirs of 7-10 mph improvement in power off stall and power on is still a non-event. I have not flown the VGs without skis and with Bushwheels yet. I don’t expect anything too surprising.
I have checked out Bryan and Alex's assessments , good to hear you came to the same conclusion, I don't want to lose any top end cruise speed-anything to offer on that end of the spectrum. thanks Bruce N199CL
There seems no effect on flight characteristics other than stall speed.
Thats what I wanted to hear , thanks Larry, gonna order them up. Bruce N199CL
I started my condition inspection this weekend. It's going to come out with a pair of new Garmin autopilot servos installed.
