Default Shake in stick when climbing

Does anyone else notice their passenger stick vibrating when in a steep climb at full power? It goes away when I lower the nose and/or reduce power. But it vibrates fwd/aft pretty intensely when I climb out at Vx. I can feel it a little in the pilot side and if I grab the stick it of course stops. I'm sure if I flew right seat the pilot side would do the same. Is the long arm just exaggerating the prop vibrations?

Joe, I about aborted on my maiden because of this! It’s the prop wash hitting the horizontal stab and elevator.

Based on experiences in other aircraft types I'm with Shadowrider and it either gets worse or is more noticeable the further aft your CG is.

I've got a 74" Sensenich on my IO-240B, and I get stick vibration/shake from the elevator on full power
takeoffs, it goes away as soon as I lift the tail or get airborne. It's just pulsing air hitting the tail as
far as I can tell. A bit unnerving at first, but I'm used to it now.

Sounds like this is pretty common. I had a passenger the other day point out how extreme it looked on climb out. I had noticed it before but really wasn't concerned but figured I might as well ask the group. Mine usually persists until I reduce my climb angle or decease power. Thanks all

I have the same stick vibration when using my Whirl Wind 72” prop, but when I tried a 78” it went away and also was smooth with a 81” NR prop. I just put the Whirl Wind 72” back on and I have the vibration again. It is the same hub as the 78” blades so it is either the balance of the 72” blades or the prop wash from that particular prop size. I would like to dynovibe dynamic balance it to see if that helps.

Mine is dynamic balanced, and I get the pulsation in the elevator half into the takeoff roll and
goes away as soon as the tail is flying.

Mine is dynamically balanced. I don't feel the shake on the ground only when climbing approaching Vx or slower than Vx. Never in any other flight phases except power on stall which of course is the same configuration at my climb out. A thing to note, I usually take off with zero flaps.

Same as Joe for me. On high power settings, and steep climbs it’s gets pretty moderate. More weight makes it worse also.
