Default Model 4 choke when installing a 912

I am installing a 912 on my model four. It used to have a two-stroke Rotax in it before. The choke control that goes into the rectangular hole on the throttle bracket that is in the middle of the cockpit, it does not have enough throw for the 912 carburetors.
What are people using for a choke on the older Kitfox?
Does it mount into that rectangular hole?If not what are people putting into that rectangular hole to make it a nice finish?

The factory has a retrofit kit that should make the an easy problem to solve. I just install it today on my SS7 and if I remember correctly it had a paragraph with instructions for an IV.

Usually the 912 has a pull ring mounted under the panel that connects a cable to both “chokes”. Kitfox Aircraft sells a kit for that with the pull ring, cable and a mounting bracket that rivets to the cross tubing under the bottom edge of the panel. Works well and is simple to install.

Money well spent. I would not install any other cable than a McFarland.

Then use this method to cut it to length.

Love my McFarlane vernier throttle cable but the stock ring pull choke works just fine for me.

The ring is functional but looks like poop next to my new panel. Also the empty hole is wonky, isn’t a nice finish.

ill get the McFarlane cable. They are very nice.

    thanks

Kitfox factory has an optional choke cable that looks much better than the pull ring. The head that shows is a nice black plastic knob that says "CHOKE" on it.

Hmmmm - Looks nice. Wish I had known about the other one. Oh well, I logged on to post a picture for rdooley79 of the other offering by the factory so I might as well do that. I'll rationalize that the pull ring appears really functional and only the pilot (probably) can see it,
