All around nice guy
What do you do when you finish flying off your Kitfox’s 40 hour test flight requirement? You get 20 of your friends and 16 airplanes and head out into the Arizona desert for a breakfast of biscuits and gravy, fresh monkey bread, rolls, bacon, muffins and coffee all around a nice campfire. Beautiful morning in the desert. Lots of flying and lots of aviation stories from some experienced aviators. We had several crop dusters, airshow performers who had flown with he greats like Bob Hoover. We had flight instructors, airline pilots and some rookies just getting their first tastes of aviation. Lots of aircraft builders sitting around that fire too.
By the way. My Kitfox is performing wonderfully. What a sweet flying ship. My wife said my GoPro mounts came in while I was flying off the last of my Phase one. Maybe some video one of these days. Keep building guys. 😀

Took a two ship excursion yesterday north and west of Phoenix. This time of year around here you really need to be done flying by about 10 or 11 am. That’s about the time we took off so we discovered some very enthusiastic turbulence during the short flight. Attempted some some air to air photos. Not ideal conditions for close formation photography but got a few stand off shots of DesertDave’s model 6. Bumps or not, it was nice to get a little airtime again after Covid 19 induced aviation hiatus.

I recognize that plane. I had the pleasure to fly with Steve the other day. First time I ever got to fly as a "flight". Thanks for that trust Steve. Possibly my time sitting in the back of the Hueys and Blackhawks got me a bit too comfy in the slot.
I took my mom to Sedona for lunch on Wednesday. Coming home I found 45mph headwinds at 9000ft. 25mph at 5500 as terrain would allow me to descend.

You did great Eddie. Wish we had more time that day. Was kinda warm too. Come back soon. Lots left to show you.
We’ll get DesertDave and DesertFox1 to join in and maybe a few others and really test your formation skills.
