    This was in my 912is kit and I've misplaced what the part number was. Can't figure it out.

    That IS a throttle cable firewall thru fitting. When tightened it will prevent the cable from moving.

    I ended up VERY CAREFULLY drilling mine out to the proper size with a new sharp bit.

    My kit did not come with one of those. Since you have one, be cognizant of where you place it. My cable runs through the same hole that all my engine cables do and the route is good for as long as the cable is. Had I had one of those, I may have put it more toward the center of the fire wall which would keep the throttle cable from making such a deviation. I would have regretted that because I needed a lot of slack taken up by the route I ultimately used in order for that cable to work.
