Re: Where I Fly.
Thanks for the write-up Steve...this was a great start to the new year! Lots of firsts going on here today...First flight for Wendy and now I'm seeing the first air to air photo ever taken of N314DW. Very cool shots Steve! I told Wendy the same about going to Sedona when it warms up, so we should be back to 110 degrees in what...a couple weeks :) We look forward to Nancy being able to go. We hope everyone has a great New Year in 2013 and we are looking forward to seeing many more Kitfoxes make their maiden flights.

Looks like Steve, Dan and Wendy had a great flight. Flying with someone else is a fun way to go. Good on you guys!

Re: Where I Fly.
WOW 50 degrees...Steve you are one spoiled guy...:D I was able to get up yesterday with a high of 30 a bit chilli. Only lasted an hour. No cabin heat. But better a cool flight than no flight at all...

Yep 50 F would be nice! , I did a lake recce on Dec 29 temp was -15c / 5 F .
with the cabin heater and dressed sort of like for skiing, it was a pleasant 3.5 hr flight.

Re: Where I Fly.
Nice early afternoon flight to Payson,AZ. Dan B. dropped into Deer Valley Airport and off we go as a two ship to late lunch at Payson. Usually don't go that direction this time of year but with temps tickling 80 degrees F. we figured we could chance a flight to higher elevations.
It was still shirt sleeve weather in Payson but there were traces of funny looking cold white stuff on the North side of the cafe. Payson is beautiful any time of year. We actually ate breakfast instead of lunch. First meal of the day for both of us so why not?
For those fellow Kitfoxers feeling the long days of a cold winter, here are a few photos of a place somewhat milder in climate. :)
Dan arrives at DVT. Off we go to Payson,AZ

You make me want to pull the old girl out of her hangar and head south!

Re: Where I Fly.
Would live to. Can't get out of town. I think Ogden, UT (KOGD) has been IFR for about a month.

Re: Where I Fly.
Had a great time yesterday Doc! The clear skies made for a beautiful flight. After our split departing KPAN I took her to just under 9000' what a view! Dropping into the Valley I had Fountain Hills going off to my right and the Superstition Mountains with Weavers Needle standing proud to the left...Of course this was the day I left the GoPro on the table at home...glad you got off some pictures ;)
Steve, you need to thaw out your plane down here any time! I may very well make it up to Utah this summer.
Here is the track of the flight compliments of a Tiny Track APRS unit.
