Another Tire Question.......
I have the Alaska 29 bush tires for my STi but understand that they will wear horribly on pavement. In looking for an alternative, I saw the standards (Dresser, Aero Classic) are all pretty much sold out and no clue on when they will be available. I have plenty of time before I need them and thought I would order now and hope for delivery in a year or so. But ran across Michelin 8.50x6 and while pricey, seem like they would be a decent hard runway tire. Anyone have any experience with these?
Thanks ahead of time.

26" Goodyears are near bullet proof and a solid option that "bridges the gap".

Thanks. Had heard that before and they were in the hunt. I did put some on order with Aircraft Spruce. They are quoting a September delivery so we shall see. At least I could order them there. Dresser just said "Sold Out" and I couldn't do anything. Talked to Heather at Kitfox and she said they are having the same issues; waiting on moving delivery dates.

Re: Another Tire Question.......
Spoke with Desser at Oshkosh and September was their best guess for shipments of the 8.50-6 Aero Classic

Wag Aero claims to have 850-6-4 Desser smooth tires in stock.

The Goodyears were more but still a third of the 29 Alaska Bush tires and they are tubeless so not worried about shearing off a stem with my inexperience.

Just got off phone with Wag-Aero, 8.50-6 Desser Aero Classic is not in stock even though website says it is.

That seems to be pretty much the norm right now. Either they really don't have what they say is in stock or it just won't let you order it.

I did speak with Lynda the purchasing agent for Wag-Aero ( since they're 30 minutes away) at OSH. If I remember correctly, she was expecting 6 sets of the Aero Classic sometime this month, but 5 sets were already sold. I guess until I have them in my hands, don't know what to expect.

Re: Another Tire Question.......
Checked just now and ACS is showing the 8.50-6 Aero Classic in stock for $438 each. Desser is showing $339.95 each. Good luck for those ordering, probably won't be around long.
